​Your voice matters and Adler Student Government (ASG) was established to ensure it’s heard.
Meet the Executive Board:
Jeanne Porges | President
I am in the Clinical Psychology program at Adler University (PsyD), with emphases in traumatic stress psychology and substance use counseling. In my ASG position I plan to increase collaboration and communication between the student body and Adler’s leadership, and advocate for creating stronger and more effective systems of accountability so that all students feel safe and heard at Adler University.
Fun Fact: I am the former chair of the Board of Directors for Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP). I have two years of experience serving on the board and over three years of experience leading both the DePaul and the Adler chapters of SSDP, doing harm education and drug policy work related to cannabis, psychedelics, and overdose prevention.
Olivia Valdes | Vice President
I am a Psy.D. Student in Clinical Psychology student. I hope to represent and lift students’ voices to the best of my ability as Vice President of ASG.
Fun Fact: I have three citizenships and have lived in two countries, three states, and eight cities.
Emily Seng | Secretary
I am a Psy.D. student. As the ASG secretary, my goal is to promote access to information for students while keeping a meticulous record of meetings!
Fun fact: I have never gotten brain freeze from ice cream or cold drinks!
Natika Banks | Diversity and Inclusion Officer
I am in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program. In my ASG position, I plan to host diversity & inclusion events and partnering with community-based organizations to promote awareness. I hope to increase both inter and intra-cohort engagement with ASG to better understand and address any broadly felt concerns of students.
Fun Fact: I’m a huge anime fan and I enjoy attending conventions. Japan is one my favorite places.
Madi Bergstrom | Doctoral Cohort Liaison
I am in the Psy.D. Clinical Psychology program. With ASG, I hope to become more aware and involved in Adler operations, and contribute to improved communication and advocacy within the school.
Fun Fact: I grew up in Utah and miss the mountains something fierce.
Kavan Nakai | Master’s Cohort Liaison
I am in the dual degree program: Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Forensic Mental Health Leadership. I plan to increase transparency and demystify some of the school’s inner workings, while advocating for my peers’ rights.
Fun Fact: I am originally from California and only heard of Adler because my sister got her PsyD here 10 years ago.
