Recognized Student Organizations
Adler Arab Association (AAA)
Description: The Adler Arab Association mission is to provide a safe space for discussion and connection, while representing and celebrating Arab culture and heritage. Together, they hope to promote harmony between various backgrounds, aim to create open dialogue to support our diversity of identity, and advocate for our collective voices to be heard. The Adler Arab Association aims to build an active community through events and activities to celebrate one another, together.

Adler Art Therapy Student Association (AATSA)
Description: AATSA promotes the use and knowledge of art therapy through community engagement and service events. We believe in the power of art therapy to affect positive social and individual change.

Adler Black Student Association (ABSA)
Description: ABSA serves as a support system for Black students at Adler University. We also provide resources for the community in the areas of networking, career building, and advancement as socially responsible professionals.

Association for Couple and Family Therapy (ACFT)
Description: ACFT enhances students’ education, training, and multicultural awareness through discussion, social networking, and focus on systems theory advocacy.

Adler Forensic Student Association (AFSA)
Description: AFSA seeks to enhance awareness of individuals involved in the legal system, while promoting equity and social justice. AFSA is founded upon a need to incorporate forensic training into the university as well as a desire to give back to the greater Chicagoland area.

Adler Graduate Christian Fellowship (AGCF)
Description: The Adler Graduate Christian Fellowship (AGCF) is a social support space for Christian students at Adler University to engage in discussions, prayer, and fellowship while studying Christian Bible passages with each other. It is the mission to see students’ lives transformed and empowered by the love of Christ and through community, which is open to all students who express interest in the offerings of this organization. AGCF serves as a liaison to the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF )/USA.

Adler Immigrant Justice Association (AIJA)
Description: AIJA aims to create a space to support immigrants and refugees in our communities and highlight social justice opportunities related to this population.

Adler Mentoring Program (AMP)
Description: The AMP provides personal and professional support to students in the early stages of their graduate training at Adler University. Information is also provided on program milestones, such as practicum and the CQE.

Adler Neuropsychology Student Association (ANSA)
Description: ANSA is a student group mainly for those students interested in pursuing clinical neuropsychology, however, is open to all students. The main focus of the group is to educate and prepare students for work in neuropsychology.

Adlerian Psychology Student Organization (APSO)
Description: The Adlerian Psychology Student Organization furthers the teaching and theory of Adlerian psychology, also known as Individual Psychology, by providing opportunities for discussion, networking, and case conceptualization.

Adler’s Prescription Psychologists (ARx)
Description: ARx furthers the pursuit and interest for students at Adler University intent on receiving prescription authority. The organization also serves as a liaison for students with the established associations necessary for this pursuit.

Adler Social Club (ASC)
Description:
The Adler Social Club is meant to address the need to increase intersectionality, community, and collaboration between the different cohorts and academic programs and to aid in rapport building among students and faculty. We also look to boost morale and encourage self-care for the student body and staff.

Adler Student Government (ASG)
Description: ASG provides a support system for the student body and guides students in the direction of systematic and healthy problem solving strategies. ASG also acts as a liaison between Adler University administration/faculty and the student body to promote transparency and the accurate dissemination of information.

Adler Society of Sexology (ASOS)
Description: The Adler Society for Sexology is dedicated to advancing the knowledge of sexuality and communicating scientifically-based sexuality research and scholarship to students, professionals, the greater community of academia, and the general public. It is committed to a scholarly and scientific approach of inquiring and disseminating accurate knowledge of sexuality, thereby aiding in more diverse, socially-just, competent, and empirically-based therapeutic practice.

Adler Sport and Health Association (ASHP)
Description: ASHP advocates for the benefits of mental and physical health of athletes and non-athletes by providing events, open communication and resources for the Adler University community at large. ASHP encourages personal and professional growth by providing opportunities for mentoring, education and networking.

Chi Sigma Iota – Alpha Iota Delta Chapter
Description: Our mission is to promote scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership and excellence in counseling, and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling.

Child and Adolescent Student Association (CASA)
Description: CASA brings together the child and adolescent community at Adler, furthers learning in specialized areas, and advocates for social justice activities that support children/adolescents and the systems that impact them.

Description: The HLSA contributes to the development of Hispanic/Latinx students and/or students interested in Hispanic/Latinx cultures through peer support, cultural awareness, professional development, and social change pursuits.

Illinois Psychological Association of Graduate Students (IPAGS)
Description: An honorary student organization at Adler University, IPAGS strives to enhance the professional development of Illinois Graduate Students in Psychology by implementing programs to educate members about legal and ethical concerns, clinical issues, and emerging roles.

Jewish Students Association (JSA)
Description: The JSA offers social, religious, volunteer, cultural, and educational programs to Adler’s Jewish students and the wider Adler community.

Men of Color at Adler (MOCA)
Description: MOCA is a support and resource group dedicated to the success of men of color who work and study at Adler. Military Psychology Student Organization (MPSO)
Description: MPSO promotes student awareness, competence, scholarship, and community engagement in the area of Military Psychology. We exchange knowledge and provide peer support as we pursue active duty or civilian service in research or clinical practice.

Description: MSA aims to create a safe, comfortable space for members to share ideas, experiences, resources, and social support for psychological students and professionals.

Primary Care Student Organization (PCSO)
Description: The PCSO promotes awareness of the role of psychological factors in health and facilitates a comprehensive understanding of the educational and professional opportunities within primary care.

Prism
Description: Prism furthers the education about the LGBTQIA+ population, while creating a safe space here at Adler University for all students who identify as a part of this population and/or are questioning their identity as a part of this population.

Psi Chi
Description: Psi Chi (ΨΧ), the International Honor Society in Psychology, offers philanthropic and professional development opportunities, access to scholarships and conferences, and academic prestige as a lifetime member of a nationally recognized honor society.

Students for Sensible Drug Policy – Adler Chapter (SSDP)
Description: SSDP is the largest national youth-led network dedicated to ending the War on Drugs. SSDP is a grassroots organization, led by a Board of Directors primarily elected by and from our student and youth members. SSDP brings young people of all political and ideological orientations together to have honest conversations about drugs and drug policy. SSDP creates change by providing a platform where members generate policy change, deliver honest drug education, and promote harm reduction.

Traumatic Stress Psychology Student Association (TSPSA)
Description: The TSPSA provides a forum for students to discuss, share, and learn new information pertaining to traumatic stress.
